Like her colleagues at Heart Center Cardiology, Nancy works to establish a true relationship with her patients so that they feel comfortable calling her with concerns and issues. According to Nancy, “It is particularly important with cardiac patients to spend the time needed to cover all aspects of appropriate care. Empathy and understanding are imperative!”

Nancy believes that respecting the patient is a must in helping them take control of their lives, despite their illness. Nancy notes that in years past, patients were not always treated as participants in their own care. At Heart Center Cardiology, the patient is included in the planning of their care and treatment.
